Login as root is a very bad practice. Thus, it’s good to implement sudo in Linux system. You can add user to sudo list, so the user in the sudoer list will be able to perform task in different privilege.
sudo is a program in the Unix / Linux that allow a user to execute command with the security privileges of another user (usually it’s superuser or root)
You might want to clear Thunderbird IMAP cache due to some reason. I just tried to clear my Thunderbird cache due to some privacy issue as it cache my email content on the public machine. To prevent Thunderbird from auto cache all your the IMAP email at your local machine, you need to disable the sync option for your IMAP account.
My N900 virtual keyboard not working after i installed SCIM for Maemo, i tot it’ll be fine after i uninstall it. However, my virtual keyboard still not working after uninstall the scim for maemo. I’ve been searching for a solution for few days but no luck. Just i’m going to give up and decided to re-flash my N900, i found a solution posted at the scim for maemo issue forum. If you dare to try, then you may proceed, else you may exit.
