To delete call history in Skype (Windows), follow the steps below:-

• Start and Login to your Skype
• Click on Tools -> Options -> Privacy Settings Tab -> click on “Clear History” button.
  
• Pop up window will appear for confirming the delete of call history, just confirm and your call history in skype will be deleted.

For Mac user, here’s the steps to delete call history in Skype:-

• Start and Login to your Skype
• Click on Skype -> Preferences -> Chat tab -> click on “Clear History” button.
  
• Pop up window will appear to confirm the deletion of call history. Just confirm and all the call history in skype will be deleted.

FYI, WMV also known as Window Media Video file and of course wmv file can be easily open in Ms Window Media Player. If you using Mac OS X, then you need some work around to open the wmv file.

To open wmv file in Mac OS X, follow the steps below:-

• Click here to Download and install VLC Player
  VLC Player is an open source media player that play almost all kind of video and audio format.
• Once you installed, you can try to open wmv file with VLC player. It should work fine by now

Here’s the alternative way to open wmv file in Mac OS X:-

• Click here to download and install Window Media Component for Quick Time (develop by Microsoft)
• Once you installed, you will be able to play wmv file in Mac thru Quick Time

Since i tried both methods, I perfer VLC player to play wmv file, the reason because it’s more stable and it’s light weight. On the other hand, Window Media Component for Quick Time is a bit heavy (due to Quick Time) and unstable at the time (few months back) i tested to open wmv file.

To connect Creative Zen V Plus in Mac OS X, follow the steps below:-

• Go here and download XNJB.
  XNJB is a free software that allow Mac to connect to Creative Nomad range of mp3 player.
• Once downloaded, install it to your Mac and Start the program
• Make sure your Zen V Plus is connected thru a USB cable to your Mac, and click the “Connect” button
  
• Once connected, you will see all your files at the top area.
  
• And now you can easily transfer your files from your Mac to Creative Zen V Plus using the 3 button in the middle. Cool right?

To merge pdf file in Mac OS X using Preview, follow the steps below:-

• Open the first pdf file with your Preview, then click on “View” and make sure the “Sidebar” is tick”
  
• Now, drag the 2nd pdf file to the Preview sidebar
  
• You should see the 2nd pdf is included in the sidebar by now and if you scroll your Preview you will see the 2nd pdf content.
  
• Click on “File” -> “Save as” and specify a name for the newly merged pdf file
• Done. you just merge 2 pdf files using Preview!

* Notes: There are some pdf files cant be merge using this method **

If you want to do Control + Enter in Ms Word at Mac, follow the steps below:-

Press Fn + Shift + Enter

Press Shift + Enter (at the keypad area)

I’ve run a test which convert a doc file to pdf file in Mac (doc file size 850k), and it produce a pdf file which is 1.2MB. After i reduce the pdf file size using Preview, the pdf file size reduced to 485k. Amazing right!

To reduce the pdf file size in Mac, follow the steps below:-

• Open your pdf file using Preview
• Click on File -> Save As, Choose “Reduce File Size” from “Quartz Filter” and click Save button
  
• Done. your PDF file size should be reduce by now.

To Enable Auto Save in Word 2008 for Mac, follow the steps below:-

• Start your Word 2008 and Click on Word -> Preference -> Save
  
• Once you click on Save, it will show another screen. Now you tick “Save AutoRecovery info every 10 minutes. (you can change the minutes to your preference) and click OK.
  
• Done. You just enable the Auto Save feature in your Word 2008 for Mac

If you still remember, I wrote a post regarding how to resize image in Mac thru Preview. I also mention that Preview is able to do simple image processing task including image cropping.

To crop image in Mac OS X, follow the steps below:-

• Open your Finder -> view the image using Preview
• Hold down the “Select” button by mouse at the top toolbar of Preview and select the shape you want and start selecting the image
  
• Once you have select the area to be crop, u can press Command + K and it will crop the image according to your selection. Or you can click on Tools -> Crop
  
• Done, Preview will now show the image that you cropped, and now you can save the file by click on “File” -> “Save as”.
  

To enable forward email as inline in Thunderbird, follow the steps below:-

• Start your Thunderbird, Click on Tools -> Options (* If you are mac user, click on Thunderbird -> Preferences)
• Options window popup, now click on Composition tab and -> select General tab
  
• You will see “Forward messages: ” and click on the drop down box and select “Inline” and click “OK” button
• Now you can try to forward a mail and the content will be forward as inline by now.
