You don’t need this program. To perfectly backup just copy de coded profile folder ex: “C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\qvzbwm29.default”. Copy the entire folder. To restore, create a new account (put any data on the new account, it will be overwritten), browse your pc to the new coded profile folder (don’t change the folder’s name) and replace the contents with the ones on the backup folder. Works for POP and IMAP even if you have several accounts restoring also Local Folders and Adress Book.

I have been using this for years. You can do this with your firefox profile.

Mozbackup only backup your POP email.
if you are using IMAP email then you may wan to use other method to backup.

It backs up ok, but so far I have not been able to get any emails restored just the address book. There is something not quite right here?

Making a backup is oke, but putting it back gives a error “no original backup file”.
