I also tried free versions of paid software, like Zoho or Basecamp and chose free version of <a href="http://www.wrike.com" rel="nofollow"> Wrike</a> as the best option for my team. The thing that sucks here is that you can only create 20 tasks for free. As our project grows, we need more space, and I'm afraid I'm going to start paying $4 per month to use Wrike's professional version.
